Working Principle of Spray Dryer:
A spray dryer atomizes a liquid feed into fine droplets and introduces them into a hot air chamber.
The high-temperature air causes rapid evaporation of the liquid, leaving behind dry powder particles.
The process occurs in several stages:
Atomization: The nozzle or rotary atomizer breaks the liquid feed into small droplets as it is pumped through.
Drying: A high-temperature air stream (typically 150°C to 300°C) suspends these fine droplets, causing the moisture to quickly evaporate and leaving behind dry powder.
Separation: Cyclones or bag filters separate the dried powder from the hot air, and collect the powder for further processing or packaging.
