A spin flash dryer is a type of industrial drying equipment that utilizes hot air and mechanical agitation to dry various materials quickly. It consists of a cylindrical drying chamber equipped with a high-speed rotor. The material to be dried is introduced into the drying chamber through a feed mechanism, where it comes into contact with the hot air and is rapidly dried.

It uses filter press wet cake, fluids having high viscosity levels, and thick paste as its raw materials. Known for its 440V/50HZ voltage level, this stainless steel drying system is preferred for its energy-efficient operation and high output level. It uses hot air to generate a rotating wind area where paste or fluid-based substances are delivered. High-speed rotation of entered paste and fluid promotes fast drying of these substances.

Working Principle :

The working principle of a spin flash dryer can be summarized in three main steps:

Step 1: Material Introduction – The material to be dried is fed into the drying chamber through the feed mechanism. It enters the chamber in a fine, dispersed form.

Step 2: Hot Air Injection – Simultaneously, hot air is injected into the drying chamber at high velocity. The hot air comes into direct contact with the material, causing rapid evaporation of moisture.

Step 3: Drying and Separation – The high-speed rotor inside the drying chamber creates intense mechanical agitation, ensuring thorough mixing of the material and the hot air. As the moisture evaporates, the dried particles are carried by the air stream towards the cyclone separator. In the cyclone separator, the dried material is separated from the air and collected for further processing.
